Surveys deliver precise and detailed insights into the energy performance of your property. Schedule your survey at a time that suits you best by emailing us, messaging us on Facebook or X (Twitter), using WhatsApp, or simply giving us a call.
To maximize your survey results, we recommend making any possible improvements before the appointment. The survey reflects the condition of your property at that specific time; any enhancements made afterward cannot be factored into your score without scheduling a new, full survey.
To boost your score effectively, consider the following steps:
- Replace as many light bulbs as possible with LEDs.
- Install Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) on your radiators.
- Ensure your room thermostat is functioning properly; replace batteries if necessary.
- Increase your loft insulation.
It's crucial to have any invoices for insulation or building work readily available. Since a surveyor cannot visually verify the insulation of walls, the quality of loft insulation, or the age of windows, any assumptions made could negatively impact your score.
Access to the entire property is essential. If any room, cellar, or attic door is locked during the survey, we may need to schedule a follow-up visit at an additional charge of £30 to cover time and travel costs.

If your buyer is a landlord planning to rent the property, it's important to note that a minimum Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of 'E' is currently required, with a planned increase to 'C' by 2030 by the Government (further details here). https://www.gov.uk/government/news/warm-homes-and-cheaper-bills-as-government-accelerates-plan-for-change Additionally, banks will deny Buy-To-Let mortgages on properties that fall below the legal minimum rating.
